At the symposium, Jiang Shangchuan introduced the "One Country, One Product" project. Officially titled "One Country, One Product: Global Action for the Green Development of Specialty Agricultural Products," this five-year initiative was launched by the FAO in 2021. Its overall goals are to increase access to healthy food, improve farmers' livelihoods, promote economic growth, and reduce food loss and waste. Simultaneously, it aims to minimize the use of chemical inputs and natural resources to mitigate the negative environmental and biodiversity impacts of agricultural production.
